Michael successfully defended his doctoral thesis on "Barriers to Hepatitis C Infection in Mice" at his final public oral on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, with Alex as his doctoral mentor. His work focused on genetic attempts to create a mouse infection model, which so far have not succeeded, in an effort to break the species barrier

Michael has put in tremendous effort to earn his PhD in Molecular Biology, marking yet another impressive milestone in his career. We are all extremely proud of him and excited to see him reach this important achievement. We wish him every success in his future endeavors!
