Ila attended ICAR in Baltimore, MD from May 12-15th, and presented her project titled “Identification and Characterization of Inhibitors of Hepatitis E Virus Replication”.

Says Ila, “ICAR was a well-organized and very enjoyable conference where I learned a lot and made many new friends.”

Ila received the 1st place prize in the PechaKucha competition, where she gave a Star Trek-themed talk, and the 3rd place poster prize in the graduate student category! She would like to thank the International Society of Antiviral Research for giving her the opportunity to present her work, and for supporting her with a generous travel award.
