This summer, four industrious undergraduate students spent ten weeks working in the Ploss Lab towards their senior thesis projects. We could not be more grateful for all their help in the lab, and for educating us on the latest ‘vines’! Their summer program concluded last week, and they had the opportunity to showcase their impressive work at the SURP MOL/QCB Poster Session, where they presented the following posters:
Nicholas Archer ’19: Investigating the Host Factors Determining the Varied Host Tropism of Hepatitis E Virus
Raymond C. Guo ’19: The Impact of Spatial Transcriptional Differences in the Liver on Hepatitis Delta Virus Infection
Gabriel Lipkowitz ’19: Host Response to Hepatitis B and Delta Viral Infections in a Micro-scalable Liver Cell Culture System
Evelyn Wu ’19: Identification of Antiviral Signaling Pathways Restricting Hepatitis Delta Virus Persistence
Great job this summer, and we’re looking forward to having you back in the lab when the school year starts!
